The Newport Microbrew Festival, once known as the "Rock, Rhythm and Brews" Festival, is scheduled for October 7th & 8th 2005. Back by popular demand, this festival has 50 booths featuring small breweries, food vendors and arts & crafts. The festival began over 11 years ago and was originally called the Fishermen's Harvest. As the festival grew, our local brew company, Rogue Ales, took over the production, added live music and renamed it the "Rock, Rhythm & Blues" Festival. Due to the enormous amount of time it takes to produce a quality event, Rogue Ales has asked the Newport Chamber of Commerce, who also produces the successful Newport Seafood & Wine Festival, to take over this event.
