This riverside town is located on U.S. Hwy. 1, 12 miles South of Melbourne and 22 miles North of Vero Beach. Grant has a population of around 2700 residents. In 1966 the Community Center held a small fish fry hoping to attract a "couple hundred folks" to make enough money to pay the center's utility bills. Now thirty-seven years later we attract as many as 50,000 people for this two day event and we have become the Southeast's largest and longest running seafood festival.

The fabric of American life is woven into this Florida Strawberry Festival® through ethnic traditions, social events, competitive contests, youth developmental programs, top-name entertainment, parades with scores of glorious floats, and high-stepping marching bands moving to the musical beat.
